We seem to have stumbled into August already- how on earth did that happen? It will be Summer before we know it! Yay!
I thought it might be nice to share with you some tips on creating a pretty posy at home to brighten your day as it's easy to slip into an awful mood during this second lockdown-and finding joy in the little things definitely helps with staying positive.
Step 1: Choose one type of flower or go for different flowers similar in colour to create a monochromatic look. Here in the photo I've used three different colours that blend nicely with the lilac ginger jar. - https://prettyhomestyle.com.au/collections/home/products/small-lilac-brushstroke-ginger-jar
Step 2: Start with the biggest flower and place it in the center and work your way out placing the flowers at different heights so they look natural and then cut a few a bit shorter so they sit close to the top of the rim of the vase and if you like you can add some greenery from your garden to break up the colour.
Step 3: To keep your cut flowers lasting longer make sure you clean your vase with bleach after every use.
Cut the stems on an angle and remove the greenery from the bottom before placing in the water.
Change the water every couple of days and add a teaspoon of sugar if you haven't any packet food.
Thanks for reading and if you have any thoughts please share them with me in the comments!
Happy Sunday
